Diablitos espejo's dance is religious dance origin in the city of Portobelo. This city was of vital importance to the Spanish colonization between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, where all the gold and silver from the New World was transported by mules along Camino de Cruces, Panama, continuing on the river Chagres by small boats, to reach Portobelo, where it was shipped to Spain.
As a point of vital commercial importance became one of the greatest centers of religious activity, this is where the dance was born Diblito Espejo, specifically in the festivities of Corpus Christi.
This dance was created for the evangelization of the new world and to represent the eternal struggle between good and evil to the American Indian (indigenous), using bright colors and shiny, the passage of centuries would be replaced by mirrors that are currently used.
The feeling of the dance is to focus on the aspect of fear that they have the masks while performing Hispanic African movements with the feet and waist.

The Panamanian dances are beautiful events in Panama. The most typical dance of Panama is recognized Tamborito, but we can not forget other Panamanian dances like Cumbia Santeña, Cumbia Chorrerana, El Torito Guapo, Congo, la Espina, el Punto, el Atravesao, la Mejorana y el Bullerengue. Folkloric Musical instruments used are: La mejorana: some kind of guitar with 5 strings. El Repicador: a drum sound that is sharp and guide couples to dance. La caja: this is a special instrument into the dance Tamborito you use Drumsticks is some kind of drum. Socabon: is a short guitar with 4 strings. El pujador: has bass sound is the companion of the la caja y el repicador.

The style of the Congo dance is a dance that is unpredictable and improvised, but it has steps and postures of the body that allows us to recognize them immediately. It is a dance with a partner where they instinctively respond to each other in movements perfectly synchronized to weights that have no planning whatsoever. Both (men and women) move to the rhythm of tamborito. It is a dance with very primitive, where four drums and the chorus of dancers, where the women behind the men sing, make a single musical tune, characterized by Palenques of the Congo, where reference is made daily activities. The beauty of dance is its coordination and synchronization in a game of flirtation and eroticism between a man and woman, where she moves with small steps your shoulders, arms, hips and head, although the movement of the hip has more momentum compared to slight movement of the body. In the folk dance is very typical move skirts inviting your partner has come. In Congo the man accepts the invitation and as soon as he approaches, she will retire soon, turning in another direction and begin the dance again from the beginning.

The past Saturday 24 of January in the perrons of the Administration Building of the Panama Canal Authority of de Panama, the assistants to the event we had the opportunity to see sing great national artists, like: The Rabanes, Alexander Lagrotta, Ness and the Sensational ones, Margarita Henríquez (winner of latinamerican idol), Samy and Sandra, Omar Alfanno, the winners of Latin grammy brother Gaitan and many others. It was completely free, was only necessary to go target dress. The video shows some scenes of the event when our winners of the Latin Grammy, the Gaitan brothers with their presentation.
