This Park is know like PILA, it has a total 207.000 hectares between Chiriquí and Bocas of the Toro, of who 62,1 hectares are in Chiriquí.

The high lands in Chiriqui are of volcanic origin and occupy great part of the territory throughout the Central Mountain range. The climates temperings are own of these areas, mainly in Cerro Punta, Volcan and Boquete .
